What is the next step in your spiritual journey?
In Greek, Vima means, “to step up, to step forward”. Not everyone is moving at the same pace or starting from the same place. But we do believe there are some key elements to moving toward Jesus and that we each have a next step. Here are some foundational steps for your spiritual journey.
Start Here
Start Here is our monthly gathering for people who are new to Vima Church or who have been around for awhile, but want to take the next step to get plugged into our community. We’ll share a meal, hear our Pastors share their heart and vision, tour the building, ask questions, and get to know each other. It lasts about 90 minutes and by the end, you’ll get a sense of your next step as a part of our church family!
Salvation & Baptism
Jesus wants to have a relationship with you. He didn’t come to build a religion or to conquer an empire. God sent His Son to show you that He loves you. Jesus died on a cross and rose from the dead to give you new life. If you want to find this new life, to know the Real Jesus, we’d love to help.
Small Groups
Life is better in community. In fact, we were designed by God to do life with others. We grow in freedom in places where we don’t have to be shy about our faults, doubts, and questions. In small groups we take time to encourage each other, talk about Scripture together, pray for one another, and help each other take next steps.
Go Teams
From worship, to Vima Kids, from production to photography, the coffee and donuts to the parking lot, we’d love to have you join one of our GO teams that help make church happen! Knowing that the investment of our time and talents is making a difference in the spiritual journey of others brings us great joy and purpose.
Vima Leadership Academy
VLA (Vima Leadership Academy) is an intentionally curated learning experience for those seeking to grow in Biblical understanding and ministerial leadership. This program is designed to journey through the depths of scripture while also releasing the God-given ministry potential in your life.
Missions
When we experience the love of Christ it compels us to share that same love with others. So when we see heartache and brokenness, we move towards it not away from it. We slow down, see the people in our communities, and we serve them! We seek to see God’s Kingdom come; His will be done in Wichita (and the world) as it is in heaven.
